Supercell

Feature design and player research on the mainland China version of Clash Royale and, alongside it, an internal project-management platform that turns natural language into tracked work.

Drag a card along the route.

I designed features for a live game and prototyped an internal project management tool.

  • Designed selected gameplay features for the mainland China version of Clash Royale
  • Ran player surveys and playability tests
  • Led product definition and the PRD for an internal PM platform with natural-language task processing

My role

Product Management Intern

Where

Shenzhen, China

Product

Clash Royale, mainland China version

When

May to Aug 2026

Note

Feature detail withheld under NDA

Product

Player experience goals into requirements.

I worked on the design of selected gameplay features for the mainland China version of Clash Royale, taking player-experience goals and turning them into product requirements, system specifications and rapid prototypes.

The work meant coordinating design, engineering and operations through the development cycle, so that a feature's intent stayed intact as it passed between teams with different constraints.

On the research side, I ran player surveys and playability tests and turned the feedback into iterative gameplay adjustments and product decisions.

Specific feature detail is not disclosed under NDA.

Internal platform

An AI project-management platform.

Separately, I led product definition, PRD writing and prototype development for an internal one-stop project management platform used by project and product managers.

Centralised dashboards

Project status across tools, in one place.

Task tracking and scheduling

With one-click ticket creation.

Natural-language task processing

You describe a task in plain language and the system files it. Built on the Claude API alongside internal LLM APIs.

The platform integrates with the tools the work already lives in (Git, TAPD and Jira, Slack, publishing systems, data centres, and internal Supercell and Tencent tooling), so updates carry across automatically and nobody re-enters them by hand.

Publishing

China market entry.

I also supported the China publishing strategy for an unannounced Supercell title, coordinating cross-regional stakeholders and preparing market entry materials.

Technical appendix: the platform in detail

The problem it addresses

Project and product managers spend much of their day moving the same information between systems that are not connected. A project's state is spread across Git, the tracker, chat and the publishing system, and keeping them in agreement takes more work as the team grows.

Shape of the tool

  • Centralised dashboards: one place to read project state, pulled from the systems that already hold it.
  • Task tracking and scheduling, with one-click ticket creation.
  • Natural-language task processing: describe a task in a sentence and the system files it. Built on the Claude API alongside internal LLM APIs.
  • Integrations with Git, TAPD and Jira, Slack, publishing systems, data centres and internal tooling, so that updates carry across automatically.

My responsibilities

Product definition, the PRD and the prototype.
